Coming into this class I was already pretty dang used to writing. I took IB English courses in high school, and was on the school newspaper. I had become the master of writing pieces in no time at all, and getting pretty decent grades on those pieces. Coming into Writing 110, I felt like the class would probably be a complete waste of my time, but I was wrong.

During the past four months I feel like I have gained confidence in my writing. I have given pieces of paper a voice and given it flow that now distinguishes my writing from the writing of others. Writing 110 has been a great tool for me to learn the basic structures of most all types of writing, but I feel that there are still two things that I wish I could improve on. I would love to improve my use of grammar and punctuation because those two things seem to be my biggest weakness in my writing.

In high school, I was a perfectionist. My essays, and really any writing assignment, would take me hours and hours to complete because I had to make sure they were perfect before turning them in. Due to my uncertainty about my future, it is hard to say what I will be doing. I hope that writing continues to play a significant role, as I do feel that I am decent at it. Unlike art, I currently express myself with my writings, whether it is blogging or journaling. I do hope this continues, as I love to look back and remember where I have come from.
