I believe shared reading is a vital part of reading education for many reasons. The different shared reading experiences have so many positive impacts on student learning. I also really liked that the twin-text unit of study used both books from the non-fiction and fiction categories. I think it is imporant for students to have the opportunity to what truth remains in fiction and always be questioning what they are learning.
